In the Spring of 2023 I met Xavier Bishop, of Zay’s Signature Creations at a networking event in South Houston where his brookies were on display and being given away to attendees.

My first taste of Red Velvet had me hooked and I immediately ordered 6 of each flavor for an upcoming event I was attending. Since that time, I have been a Brand Ambassador, table attendant at events (selling out the table :)), Brand Manager, and PR Girl for Bookie’s Brookies.

June 2024 marks Bookie’s Brookies first coffee shop partnership, now you can purchase your favorite dessert at the quietly comfortable Lit Java coffee and books in Pearland, TX.

Partnerships have a huge impact on brand growth and should always be a part of any business strategy “I am thrilled about our partnership with Lit Java and what it means for our brand. It is an amazing opportunity to have them carry our Bookie’s Brookies. What sets this partnership apart is how well Lit Java aligns with our children’s literacy initiatives. They are not just a coffee shop, but also a bookstore with a dedicated section for children. They even host events to help children enhance their creative and literacy skills. I believe this partnership will be long-lasting and beneficial for both our brands.” said Bishop about this new relationship.

On June 14th, Lit Java hosted an open mic and poetry night that featured Bookie’s Brookies to announce the partnership publicly and to provide samples to their guests.

No one was prepared for what happened next, the Bookie’s Brookies sold out – all but 3 Peanut Butter Brookies were sold to attendees who had sampled the confectionary delights at the table.

One lucky guest was chosen by raffle to take home a box of 3 full size Bookie’s Brookies. The winner, named Darlene was completely shocked that she had won the luxury desserts, but was deserving of them as she had given a testimonial on the goodness of them just before the raffle was closed.

We couldn’t be prouder of Xavier and the Bookie’s Brookies brand for his continued success and all that he’s accomplished in the time we’ve been working together. His growth is a testament to the tenacity required to be an entrepreneur, keep believing in what you have to offer, and we will continue to support you.
